Why business coaches use Coach Recap
Business coaching is accountability with a calendar. The owner sets a quarterly target, you break it into the moves that get there, and every session starts with the same question: what did you say you would do, and did you do it? The coaching is in the follow-through, which means the tool has to be good at remembering commitments, not just at scheduling calls.
Coach Recap is also the software for running your own coaching business: packages and monthly retainers paid through Stripe, a booking page that respects your hours, contracts signed through the platform, and a client list that tells you who is due a renewal. One system for the client’s business and for yours.
Goals with a quarter on them, actions with a date on them
Set the client’s goals the way you would on a whiteboard: reach €40k monthly revenue, hire a second salesperson, get out of day-to-day delivery. Each session links to the goals it worked on, so progress is visible across the quarter rather than reconstructed from memory. Every commitment becomes an action item with a due date. It sits on the client’s profile until it is done and it opens the next session, so the accountability conversation is already on screen.
- Goals linked to the sessions that worked on them
- Action items with due dates that carry over until done
- Session notes searchable across every client
- A client’s whole history on one profile
Retainers and packages, paid through Stripe
Business coaching is sold as monthly retainers and as packages: a 90-day sprint of six sessions, a year of two sessions a month. Set the program up once with a price and a session count or a monthly cycle, add the client, and they pay by card through Stripe. Sessions are counted against the program as they book, so 5 of 6 is on the profile and the renewal comes up in a session, not in an email three weeks later.
- Monthly subscription programs and session packs
- Sessions used against sessions bought, visible to both of you
- Stripe handles card processing and payouts to your bank
- Contracts sent through the platform and signed electronically
Your own coaching business, run from the same place
A booking page with your availability, buffer time and minimum notice, synced two ways with Google Calendar and Outlook. Email reminders at 24 hours, 1 hour and 15 minutes. An intake form that arrives before the discovery call, so you walk in knowing the business, the revenue and the problem. Your logo and colours on the booking page and every email. The client list shows who has had a session recently and who has gone quiet, which is your pipeline for renewals.
- Booking page and reminders under your branding
- Intake form before the first session, stored on the profile
- Client list with session count and last-session date
- Free for three clients, €29 a month for twenty
Built for a practice of one
Coach Recap is designed for solo coaches, so there are no seats to buy and no features held back for a higher tier. The free plan covers three clients with no time limit and no credit card; the Professional and Business plans only change the client limit. Every page in the product is described on the features overview.
Frequently asked questions
What is business coaching software?
Software for running business coaching engagements: client profiles, goals and action items, session notes, scheduling and payments for retainers and packages. Coach Recap is built for a single coach rather than a consultancy, and it doubles as the tool you run your own coaching business on.
Can I bill a monthly retainer?
Yes. A monthly subscription program bills the client each month through Stripe and tracks the sessions used in that month. Session packs are paid once and used up over time. Both show sessions used against sessions bought on the client’s profile.
Can my client see their action items?
Yes. Clients have their own side of Coach Recap with their goals, action items, sessions, shared files and the chat with you. They can tick an action as done from their side. Your session notes stay private.
Does Coach Recap replace a CRM?
For a solo coach, usually yes. The client list, profiles, session history, intake forms, contracts and payment status cover what most coaches use a CRM for. It does not do email marketing or sales pipelines for cold leads.
